DAY 1

Arrive  for a light snack lunch at Dqae Qare San Lodge.  Afternoon visit to our African Rare Breeds farmyard and Butchery and participate in a Workshop to make traditional Boerewors (Farmers Sausage).  Also check out our Charcuterie and other home industries.  Evening three course dinner with traditional Tswana Seswaa (pounded game meat) courtesy of the San in their lodge.  Evening Trance Dance.  Overnight at Dqae Qare in en suite lodge rooms.

DAY 2

Wake-up with fresh coffee and a choice of teas and home-baked traditional Buttermilk Rusks followed by an extensive bushwalk to identify wild foods gathered by the San.  Return to Dqae Qare for a mid-morning breakfast of farm eggs and Kolbroek home smoked bacon.  Set off for CKGR to our three night fixed camp in the Passarge Valley, a six hour journey.  Light lunch served on route.  Evening Barbeque with aged game steak in a traditional marinade served with a San harvested wild truffle sauce and home baked garlic bread, African sweet potatoes and a green salad on the side. Overnight in Safari Dome Tents with stretchers, mattresses and feather duvets.

DAY 3

Wake-up with fresh coffee and a choice of teas and home-baked traditional Buttermilk Rusks at first light and set off for a game drive in the valley.  Return mid morning for traditional brunch comprising Magunya (fat cakes prepared in camp and deep fried) served with lightly curried game mince and onions in a pocket.  Day at leisure reading, resting and cold bush showers (indescribably good 😊) with snacks freely available including thinly sliced hot smoked game fillet, warthog meat balls in a traditional dip, roasted Morama Nut mix, sweet potato crisps, impossibly sweet koeksisters and Kolbroek chipolatas.  Afternoon game drive through Passarge with sundowners and snacks and fine Cape wines over the Passarge Valley.  Return to camp for a traditional Cape Babotie bake (sweet curried game mince) served with yellow rice and salad.  A dessert of traditional Milk Tart.  Overnight in Safari Dome Tents with stretchers, mattresses and feather duvets.

Early rise at first light to fresh coffee and a choice of teas and home-baked traditional Buttermilk Rusks and set off on a day trip to the great Sundays Pans and Deception Valley.  En Route picnic lunch of home baked breads, a selection of Charcuterie cold meats such as Kolbroek ham, salami, braseola, smoked game fillet, home baked quiche with fresh farm eggs and a choice of salads.  Drive back to Passarge ending in sundowners with fine Cape wines, Scotch on the rocks and Gin and Tonic.  Back to camp for game Stroganoff with peas and salad followed by Barbeque baked banana and dark chocolate and Ice Cream.  Overnight in Safari Dome Tents with stretchers, mattresses and feather duvets.

DAY 4

DAY 5

Early rise at first light to fresh coffee and a choice of teas and home-baked traditional Buttermilk Rusks and set off for the seven hour journey home through the Matopi pan and a light lunch en route.  Relaxed afternoon at Dqae Qare and a carnivore meat feast dinner with a variety of game skewers including oryx, kudu, eland, wildebeest and warthog with a selection of home made sausage including Kolbroek traditional, boerewors, ostrich and traditional smoked game.  Depending on the moon, star taklk with a ten inch Dobsonian scope by our resident amateur astronomer and story teller to witness the marvels of the cosmos and our southern skies.  Overnight at Dqae Qare in en suite lodge rooms.

DAY 6

Rise to a full English breakfast courtesy of your San hosts and you are free to continue on your journey through our wonderful country.  A package choice of weight loss ideas plans included in your gift pack 😊.
